Mr. Overand has represented thousands of clients at every level of court in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
After law school, Mr. Overand worked for the Office of the Public Defender for Fairfax County for 5 1/2 years. During his tenure in that office, he represented clients charged with everything from reckless driving and DUI to serious felonies including rape, robbery and murder. Before leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Mr. Overand was promoted to a Senior Assistant position where he was in charge of training and supervising a team of less-experienced attorneys.
Since 2005, Mr. Overand has served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University School of Law where he helps run the Mental Illness Clinic. This experience has given him valuable insight into assisting clients with mental health issues.
Mr. Overand lives in Arlington with his wife, two sons and two cocker spaniels. In his spare time he enjoys golf, hockey and skiing.
